The journey to becoming a master artist is a path of continuous growth, discipline, and creative exploration. It is a process of not just learning to draw, but learning to see, think, and create with profound intention. Here are the seven key stages on that journey.

1. Novices: Novices are taking their first steps into the art world. Following the instructions of a master artist and studying the rules, they experiment and explore, learning to see like a master artist.

2. Apprentices: Apprentices have demonstrated a foundational knowledge of basic skills and concepts. They apply this knowledge to their own projects, learning to think like a master artist.

3. Explorers: Explorers apply everything they've learned to new techniques, materials, and media, expanding their creative horizons and learning to perceive like a master artist.

4. Artisans: Artisans actively build and produce new and more complex artwork. They accept new challenges and succeed, learning to understand like a master artist.

5. Scribes: As Scribes, they record their vision and tell stories through their work. They also begin to learn more complex subjects from a master artist, learning to communicate like a master artist.

6. Illuminators: Illuminators find profound meaning in the visual world and implement it into their creations. They learn to come to conclusions like a master artist, infusing their work with deeper significance.

7. Young Masters: Finally, a Young Master is a respected and skilled artist capable of creating unique and meaningful artwork in any medium. They are no longer simply students but are being mentored as equals by a master artist, on their final stretch to true mastery - learning to transcend the rules.
