Art Classes in the Russian Academic Tradition
At our art center your children will be taught by a master artist who got her education from the Russian master artists.
Elena Roché is an award-winning artist, recognized among the world's top plein air painters. With nearly 30 years of experience, including 20 years dedicated to teaching, she specializes in classical art techniques developed by 19th-century masters, specifically tailored for children and young adults. Her passion lies in nurturing young talent and guiding students through a rigorous academic art curriculum, helping them develop their unique artistic voice.
A graduate of Moscow College of Art and Design with the title of Master Artist, Elena's nearly three-decade career showcases a diverse range of works, from portraits, still lifes, and landscapes to iconography and decorative designs, executed in mediums such as watercolor, pastel, graphite, colored pencils, tempera, and oil.
Classes begin in September and students may join in at any time during the year. We explore the fundamentals of drawing on Mondays, delve into the vibrant world of painting on Wednesdays, and unlock the secrets of composition and art history on Fridays. Museum trips throughout the year help students' connect what they learn to the real artwork and further help them develop their creativity.
By the end of the curriculum, students will have developed skills and understanding of art and art mediums necessary for entering world famous art academies or universities to become designers, architects, illustrators, animation and sacred art creators.
Join us for a creative journey filled with inspiration and skill-building!
